Globally Recognized Author and Innovation Expert to Join Business Event Leaders in Lausanne; Conference Themes to Focus on Future, Talent and ROI
KILLYLEAGH, CO DOWN, NORTHERN IRELAND — PCMA today announced Howard Yu will keynote the inaugural Convening EMEA (formerly known as the European Influencer Summit), at Lausanne’s SwissTech Convention Centre 17-19, October 2021. Yu is among the world’s top five innovation speakers and professor of management and innovation at Switzerland’s prestigious IMD business school.
Key themes throughout the event will focus on future, talent, and ROI. A PCMA April 2021 survey conducted in the EMEA region revealed priority topics respondents wish to explore during Convening EMEA, including: the models and economics of face-to-face/digital/hybrid events (60 percent), followed by understanding new business models (58 percent), and developing sales and marketing approaches best suited to a post-COVID-19 market (57 percent).
“The global pandemic turns out to be accelerants on the business landscape. It accelerates a number of key trends that have been with us for years,” said Yu. “But we now see those impacts happen overnight because of this acceleration. Organizations that are future-ready, are more resilient and now better-positioned for new growth. We’ll examine how leaders can and must build their own future-ready organizations.”
Global audiences are craving the “we time” to reconnect with business partners and clients. Regardless of experience, whether industry leaders or middle managers they are pursuing what’s next. Together they want to explore new ideas to progress personally and professionally.
“Our industry recovery continues to be a marathon, not a race. However, the innovative thinking, endurance, and persistence demonstrated by the remarkable business event strategists keeps me hopeful for a much brighter tomorrow,” said Jaimé Bennett, PCMA Business Director, EMEA. “Convening EMEA will be equal parts celebration and exploration – the end of our journey with a bright pathway forward for business events.”
Further details and registration are available at www.conveningemea.org. Registration fees have been frozen at the 2019 event rate as PCMA continues to do its part to provide support and opportunities for the industry.
