As a venue provider that fully understands the current market trends as well as clients’ needs and demands, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) knows that more creative and innovative measures must be implemented to ensure successful delivery of client events.
An expansion of the center is currently underway and due to be completed in mid-2019. Enhancing KLCC’s existing world-class infrastructure, the extension will provide more than 11,000 square meters of additional flexible and multi-purpose space, which means more room to comfortably accommodate larger exhibitions and international association meetings, as well as concurrent events, allowing new and current clients to grow their activities and/or events significantly. Alun Jones, general manager, exhibition services of UBM — one of KLCC’s many recurrent clients — said, “UBM has brought two events to the center this year and the expansion will help us grow our events at the center further.”
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre has also further enhanced the attractiveness and value of its strategic location and precinct proposition with the establishment of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Business Events Alliance (KLCC BEA). The alliance is a powerful collective of KLCC, leading hotels, professional event planners, shopping, dining, entertainment and transportation partners, each customising their value-adds to the nature of any client request. This fully integrated city-center offering creates an all-inclusive proposition and enhanced value for clients and delegates by offering a seamless and single point of first contact for them.
The center’s philosophy of delivering innovative and value-add solutions that are personalised through its partnership approach, its highly knowledgeable and professional team, and its commitment to continuous investment in venue maintenance have played an important role in remaining competitive in the event venue market. In addition, KLCC’s efforts to continually update its business model, a commitment to enhancing its products and offerings to meet new expectations and market conditions, and ability to create bespoke experiences and memorable customer journeys have been key to satisfying customer demands.
