With this annual survey, we took a longer look back — over the span of 10 years, from right before the U.S. recession hit December 2007, through post-recession (mid-2009), to the recovery. Remarkably, some metrics in 15 key areas have held steady during the past decade. Other key benchmarks, like room-block size, reflect greater fluctuations, indicating that there are other factors at work besides the economy that affect the way event organizers do business.
