Your Complete Guide to Global Meetings Industry Day on Thursday

On Thursday, April 6, members of the business-events industry will shout one message around the world: Meetings Mean Business. The chorus is part of this year’s Global Meetings Industry Day, an annual celebration designed to showcase the power of meetings, events, conventions, exhibitions, and other face-to-face gatherings. Last year, meeting professionals united for more than 100 events in more than 30 countries, and the message spread to social media with more than 30 million impressions of the #GMID16 hashtag.

In 2017, the meetings and events community has even more in store. From casual networking receptions to panel discussions on the biggest issues affecting event professionals, the day will be loaded with opportunities to learn, network, and celebrate.
