‘The City of Mountains’

Monterrey is vibrant, tireless, and multifaceted - a city where sophistication goes handin- hand with folk traditions. Its wide range of museums, parks, restaurants, bars, shopping malls, and exclusive stores; its love of soccer and baseball; its exciting music and art production; and its shows and nightlife make this a metropolis that never fails to fascinate. Monterrey is also a powerful industrial city, a driving force for Mexico’s national economy, and a cultural epicenter - for which it has been dubbed “La Sultana del Norte” (“The Sultaness of the North”).

What is Fundidora Park?

Located in the heart of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Fundidora Park is the first public urban sustainable park in the north of the Mexican Republic. Recognized as a Museum of Industrial Archeology in 2011, Fundidora Park is a living testimony of the history of Monterrey - a cultural heritage of the state in which nature, tradition, and culture coexist to bring joy to the community. Located inside the former Monterrey Foundry property, visitors can now appreciate the 27 remaining industrial pieces, which include two blast furnaces, buildings, chimneys, and 127 smaller pieces that are distributed along the gardens and pathways of the park.

The park’s surface of 142 hectares provides visitors with diverse areas for rest, recreation, and socializing, a place for multifaceted activities such as sports and entertainment, as well as economic and cultural events of all kinds.
