Being successful in our industry typically means that we move our audiences to some desired action (or behavior). Our defined event objectives, however, all-too-often focus on the executional aspects of producing an event and not on the actionable outcomes. To make our events as successful as possible, for all constituents, we must take the time to define what real success is and build a program that moves people to action. In this session, you'll take away some usable tools to define meaningful objectives and create a plan that will yield new levels of success for your organization and event attendees.
 
Richard is a recognized strategic and creative leader in the event marketing industry, consistently delivering results for his clients’ programs by working with them to first, understand what success looks like. His methodology then helps them to build measurable objectives and strategies that create effective tactics for their programs and audiences.
 
His 30+ plus years in the industry has included time with the largest event marketing agencies in the country as well as The Coca-Company where he lead the event design group.
 
He has served as the global lead for program strategy and experience design for IBM, Cisco Systems and Intel’s worldwide event marketing programs. Today, he serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for Shepard Exposition Services.
