We live in a crazy world that is more connected, complex, and uncertain than ever before. The distinction between work and personal life has blurred causing ambiguity and stress. Stressful situations can cause you to feel no energy...scattered energy...even ugly energy. You can create balance by understanding how to return to your center of positive energy and well-being. In that state, you will be resilient enough to keep your cool, cope with stressful challenges, and stay connected.

This interactive session entitled "Balancing Work and Life in a Connected World" presented by Cathy Newton on Thursday, May 16th at The Hilton President – Kansas City from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm will give you a power charge and teach you practical strategies for keeping your balance intact.

Learning Outcomes: You will...

  1. Define Balance for yourself, what does that look like?
  2. Identify practical and meaningful strategies to restore balance:
    1. tap your creativity
    2. practice relaxation
    3. return to positive energy;
  3. Examine the relationship between creativity, relaxation, positive energy and your ability to create balance in your work and life.
