PCMA and Reed Travel Exhibitions Announce New Industry Partnership
Dallas, TX, Jan. 13, 2010 - The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) announced from the PCMA Annual Meeting in Dallas an industry partnership that sees the two organizations collaborating on a range of new educational initiatives for AIBTM in Baltimore and EIBTM in Barcelona.

2010 PCMA Convention Center Auction to Feature Chicago and McCormick Place
The Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau (CCTB) sponsored this morning's General Session at the Professional Convention Management Association's (PCMA) 2010 Annual Meeting and announced an exciting opportunity for meeting professionals. The CCTB and the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA), owner and operator of McCormick Place, have partnered with PCMA for the 2010 PCMA Convention Center Auction; marking the third time a convention center has auctioned its meeting space to benefit PCMA.

PCMA Further Reduces Annual Meeting Environmental Footprint in 2010
The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) held its first CEO Summit for Convention Center and Convention and Visitors Bureau CEOs on Sunday, January 10, at the Dallas Hyatt Regency in conjunction with the 2010 PCMA Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas. The CEO Summit brought together nearly 50 Convention Center and CVB Executives for high-level collaboration and information sharing.

Texas Roadhouse CEO Honored with PCMA Chairman's Award
In recognition of his encouraging voice during a difficult time for the meetings industry, the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) selected G.J. Hart, Texas Roadhouse Director, President and CEO, to receive the prestigious 2009 PCMA Chairman's Award. Hart was honored in person during today's General Session at the 2010 PCMA Annual Meeting in Dallas.
